Siplus' Computing Resources
For this site I am using CSS to determine the layout/interface. In order to make things easier for me, I have implemented PHP to dynamically solve link/image dependencies throughout the directory structure of the site.

Example: I have the sidebar on the right and I want to link to an image in ~/files/images. I am using PHP to resolve the image location for each page on my site by using variables that I embed in each page. On /linux/, this php variable will give the prefix '../' to the link to the image. On my main page the php variable will give no prefix, because ~/files/images would be in the immediate directory. I use PHP to include the sidebar to the right on each page without using ugly frames or copy/pasting each time.

I validate my code as much as I can, although I do not garrantee complete compliance at any one given time. I am changing my code on an almost daily basis, and validate only weekly.

Validation is important because it insures that the code will be universally supported. The W3C sets the standard, and Standard-Complient browsers such as Mozilla, Firefox, Konquerer, and Opera. Non-standard and antique browsers are not garenteed (Internet Explorer, old Netscape, others).
